Key Benefits

Maintain healthy energy levels

Whole hemp CBD oil can help maintain a balanced stress response. Stress is one of the main causes of low energy and fatigue.

Maintain a healthy immune system

Our body’s immune cells have cannabis receptors which maintain balance and regulate healthy immune function. Whole hemp oil has been shown to interact with these receptors.

Support your body’s natural anti-inflammatory processes

The quality of the CBD oil makes a big difference in how effective it will be for you and the extra terpenes found in Spirit of Hemp oil can help your body maintain a healthy inflammatory response. For someone who suffers from chronic pain and inflammation issues, our oil can be game-changing in how they respond to CBD. So many people are switching to Spirit of Hemp as they feel so much better with our oil.  Why? Because Spirit of Hemp CBD oil is effective. Our cold-pressed oil offers the full spectrum of beneficial compounds plus the addition of hemp-derived terpenes that help support a healthy inflammatory response.

Support a balanced brain – pain network and nervous system

A healthy nervous system supports a healthy pain and inflammatory response. The Endocannabinoid system acts to help maintain healthy balance of the nervous system which in turn supports a balanced pain and inflammatory response. As we have cannabis receptors all over the body and within the nervous system it makes sense to nourish these receptors with cold pressed hemp oil containing CBD plus other cannabinoids to support normal balance.

Maintain neurotransmitter balance to support your mood and circadian rhythm

As cannabis receptors are found all over the body and within the nervous system whole hemp oil can help maintain a healthy balance of your moods and sleep-wake cycle.

Support a healthy diet and lifestyle

Our whole hemp oil oils are completely natural, organic and hand harvested and can be incorporated as part of any holistic dietary or lifestyle programme.

How to take our Original 3% oil

Dose

Starting dose 1-2 drops held under the tongue Any time of day. (More detailed dosage information sent with every order)

How to take it

An effective dosage can range from as little as a few 1-2 drops to 20 drops or more. Dosing is all about finding the sweet spot for your endocannabinoid system. Begin with a small dose of 1-2 drops of oil, especially if you have little or no experience with cold pressed hemp.

Take a few small doses over the course of the day rather than one big dose. Many people do extremely well on 3-4 micro doses a day.

Use the same dose and ratio for several days. Observe the effects and if necessary adjust the ratio or amount.
Don’t overdo it. Cannabis compounds have biphasic properties, which means that low and high doses of the same substance can produce opposite effects.  There is general agreement that too much, or “over-doing it” can result in no changes at all.

Cold pressed hemp oil has no known adverse side effects, but an excessive amount could be less effective therapeutically than a moderate dose. Again we would like to stress that “Less is more” is often the case with respect to cannabis therapy.

Your goal is to find the lowest dose that works for you and you alone.
Dosage is not based on factors such as condition, age, weight or sex of the individual. Dosage will be based on how the individual metabolises oils, in this respect, everyone is different. The best way to find your individual dose is to start low and keep increasing slowly until you feel the benefits.

People who claim they experience the most profound benefits often take several small (micro) doses several times daily.
Remember, cold pressed hemp oil only works if you take it! Many people feel the effects within 15 minutes of their first dose, others need days or weeks to slowly awaken their endocannabinoid receptors.

Finding the effective dosage of cold pressed hemp oil oil can take time, observation, evaluation and the understanding that this is no “one-size-fits-all” affair. Finding the right dosage is incredibly rewarding, observation and patience are key.
Knowing the numerous benefits that cold pressed hemp oil oil can have on the body should be a motivating factor in your journey to finding a dosage that helps you to get the results you’re looking for.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER AND FORMULATOR.

Why take our cold hemp pressed  oil?

After experiencing many CBD oils with varied results for my own health concerns,  I saw the real need to offer a cold pressed hemp oil that was brimming with all the beneficial phytonutrients offered by the cannabis plant in its raw organic form and thus provide a a superior alternative to cbd extracts.

Far apart from decarboxylated cbd or high percentage cbd extracts filled with cbd isolate and also sometimes flavours, our oil is pure and balanced by nature.

The cold pressed method of creating hemp oil is by far the most natural and the most environmentally friendly. Using hemp (or low-THC cannabis) results in an oil that contains more elements of the hemp plant, in the ratios found in nature. This results in a superior Entourage Effect.

When you use Spirit of Hemp you can be sure you are not using cbd extract but instead it is a cold pressed whole hemp plant oil.

“I have tried other oils in the past but none of them made any difference, then someone suffering like me, suggested it to me and said it had made a difference to them. I gave it a chance and there is a noticeable difference when I take this oil. I don’t go anywhere without it now!”

WHAT IS CANNABIDIOLIC ACID (CBDA)?
CBDA is the acidic precursor of CBD. This means if you took some freshly harvested hemp plants, for example our tea and ceremonial hemp, they would contain mostly CBDA and only a little CBD. It’s through the drying and heating process that CBDA turns into CBD (Cannabidiol). CBDA supports the body’s healthy response to pain, nausea and inflammation.
Does Spirit of Hemp contain CBDA?
Spirit of Hemp contains very high concentrations of CBDA at a ratio as close to 50:50 cbd:cbda as we can obtain. Keeping in mind that CBDA supports the body’s healthy response to pain, nausea and inflammation, new customers routinely search out Spirit of Hemp because of the high concentrations of CBDA in our oil. Will CBDA be the compound that optimises your experience of CBD oil ?
Can I get high from cold pressed hemp oil?

The answer is no, hemp oil contains mainly does not make the consumer feel high. Instead, cole pressed hemp oil helps maintain a calmer, clearer mind while also maintaining an active lifestyle.

What is the difference between cannabis, marijuana and hemp?
All are cannabis plants, however, hemp or industrial hemp is a term commonly used for cannabis strains that contain very low levels of THC, to be precise below 0.2% THC. Marijuana, in general, is a word used for plants that contain high amounts of THC. Marijuana is NOT a scientific term, it was slang created to demonise user during the Prohibition of the 1930s. “Cannabis” is the correct term for the flower with these characteristics.

  • Psychoactive effects
  • Higher levels of THC
  • Can produce CBD and minor cannabinoids

Hemp is not a scientific term either. This word for Cannabis is now applied by the Government for mostly industrially produced cannabis that has:

  • Minimal to no psychoactive effects.
  • THC levels less than 2%
  • Higher levels of CBD and minor cannabinoids
Is is it safe to drive whilst taking cold pressed hemp oil?

Yes, CBD supplements are safe to consume whilst driving. Whilst THC delivers a mind and perception altering high, in contrast CBD interacts closely with various CB1 receptors to support the body’s natural response to anxiety, stress which may leave the consumer with a calmer and clearer mind. Remember, both CBD and hemp products are entirely legal in the UK, this is largely due to the fact that they contain trace levels of THC.

Will I test positive for THC if I use cold pressed hemp oil?

Whatever your thoughts and opinions on workplace drug testing, it is a reality many employees face. Most drug tests screen for THC (delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol). Our products contain almost untraceable amounts of THC. However, studies have shown that eating foods containing hemp (seeds, oil, etc.) can cause confirmed positive results for THC. Therefore, if you are subject to any form of drug testing, it is our recommendation to talk with whoever may be testing you prior to using any hemp-derived products.

How does a cannabis drug test work?
THC is the cannabinoid that is targeted in drug tests. These tests look for the metabolic products of THC and begin with e.g a simple urine test sample. The test uses antibodies to detect THC and the metabolite it produces. There is no such thing as a CBD drug test because CBD is not a drug.

Cannabis Terpenes

What are terpenes?

The groundbreaking research by Dr Ethan Russo lead to the discovery of the benefits of Cannabis Terpenes. He named them the 5th healing element, the life force and the spirit of the plant!

It was Dr Russo's research which inspired the creation of Spirit of Hemp. On the UK market, we are currently the only company bringing you a product with a full spectrum of the cannabis terpenes, extracted from the whole cannabis plant! As these are usually lost in the cannabinoid extraction process we decided to extract them separately and add them back in afterwards!

Why is this important?

First of all, each terpene has health benefits of their own even in very small amounts of 0.5% or less. However, they have also been shown to improve the absorption and bio-availability of CBD and other cannabinoids. Finally, they contribute to the entourage effect. Meaning that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and by combining all of the compounds naturally found in the plant you'll get the maximum therapeutic effects!

Interestingly terpenes are not just found in cannabis but all over the plant kingdom. They are in fact the compounds which create a plant. So the uplifting citrusy scent when cutting a fresh orange is caused by the terpene D-Limonene, whilst the beautiful calming smell of french lavender is due to the terpene Linalool!

MCT Coconut Oil (cocos nucifera)

MCT coconut oil (cocos nucifera)

This incredibly versatile and stable oil is the perfect carrier oil for our food supplements as well as our topical oils. Medium chain triglycerides are a group of saturated fats, sourced from coconut oil. Our oil is a beautifully balanced blend of fatty acids known for their anti-microbial properties. Not only does it aid the absorption of CBD but MCT oil has been studied as an effective topical treatment for acne and other minor skin irritations.

Key Properties:

  • Aids absorption of CBD
  • Contains fatty acids that balance the body's microbiome
  • Long lasting moisturiser

History of Coconut Oil

  • History says that coconut was cultivated in India along the Malabar Coast much before the time of Christ.
  • The Sanskrit based Indian Ayurvedic medicine from 1500BC has documented the use of coconut oil in virtually every area concerning the body, mind and spirit.

Spirit of Hemp have borrowed ancient Sanskrit wisdom, using MCT Oil as the perfect carrier oil for our CBD + CBDA oils. It is also included in our Immune Balm, Topical Treatment Serum, Topical Treatment Oil, Immune Body Oil and our CBD Scalp & Hair Treatment Oil.

Cold pressed - Whole Raw Hemp Oil

Our organic raw whole hemp oil is always cold-pressed to maintain the maximum benefits and natural balance of the plant.

This careful process makes our oil unique as it contains high amounts of CBDA, THCA and other acidic precursors of common cannabinoids. These are destroyed by heat and light so are usually lost in the extraction process. This is important because they are up to 1000 times more effective than CBD and highly bio-available. They also contain a whole host health benefits. CBDA for example is being studied for its impact on mood as well as it's anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory properties.
